I’ve been trying to figure out some way to communicate my work on liberating intimacy on some regular and consistent basis. I considered making regular posts on Social Media, sending out regular emails, writing books (one of which is 99% written) and I’ve considered creating YouTube videos, all of which are still possibilities. But when I considered the place where I could be most vulnerable and intimate with you--my readers--a blog became the obvious choice.
I know that it is God’s call on my life to serve in such a way that we can liberate what has been enslaved by humans. This blog will include writings on Intimacy with God, ourselves, and others as I researched them from my Doctoral work completed in 2019. It will also include writings that have been researched by my soul--with no particular goal in mind--simply growth. It has been said that if one is not ‘growing’ one is dying. So my hope is that this blog helps you each to grow spiritually, physically, mentally, emotionally, and relationally in such a way that YOU can be seen into and that you can say to others “IN TO ME SEE.”
Future writings will delve more deeply into IN TO ME SEE as a practice. For today IN is a call toward the inner self. TO is a call to action. ME is one's identity in God. SEE is the vision and clarity that one attains as they journey toward intimacy.
Someone once suggested that I write a workbook on IN TO ME SEE. I immediately refused. As one who has wrestled with identifying as a human ‘doing’ (sometimes identified as overfunctioning) instead of a human being, I did not want to place more work on anyone! With that in mind this blog will be an encouragement toward playing instead of working and can be thought of as a ‘play-book’ with prayers, practices, ponderings, and plays offered throughout.
My intention is to post a new blog as the Spirit leads around the themes of liberating intimacy and living intimately. One theme I will address is the enslavement of intimacy, and although a heavy topic it is a necessary one. And don’t worry-- If you are living in a state of enslaved intimacy- REMEMBER--God sent Jesus that we might be set free! Let us journey together toward IN TO ME SEE… let’s journey together so that we might be free.
Galatians 5:1
“It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
